Wirlo

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 September 2026

Wirlo is a mobile game published by Vikta (ABN 55 638 418 663), a sole trader based in New South Wales, Australia. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the Wirlo iOS app worldwide.

The short version. Wirlo has no accounts and no servers of our own. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number, and we cannot identify you. The app uses Apple's Game Center for scores and achievements, Apple's payment system for optional purchases, and Google AdMob to show optional rewarded ads. Those services handle data under their own policies, described below.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

None. Wirlo does not have sign-up, login, profiles or contact forms. If you email us for support, we receive whatever you choose to write, including your email address, and we use it only to answer you.

Information stored on your device

Your progress, settings, in-game currency balance and preferences are stored locally on your device. This data stays on the device, is not transmitted to us, and is removed when you delete the app.

Information handled by third-party services

Wirlo relies on three third-party services. We do not receive your personal data from any of them in a form that identifies you.

ServicePurposeWhat it handles
Apple Game Center Leaderboards and achievements Your Game Center nickname and scores, under your Apple Account. We see aggregate rankings, never your Apple Account details.
Apple App Store / StoreKit Optional in-app purchases Payment is processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment card, billing address or Apple Account. We receive only confirmation that a purchase completed.
Google AdMob Optional rewarded video ads Device and advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device type and operating system, and interactions with ads. See section 3.

2. How we use information

We use the limited information described above to:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.

3. Advertising

Wirlo shows rewarded video ads supplied by Google AdMob. These ads are always optional: you choose to watch one in exchange for in-game currency, and nothing is shown unless you tap to start it.

Personalised and non-personalised ads

By default, Wirlo requests non-personalised ads. Non-personalised advertising still uses limited information — such as your approximate location derived from your IP address, your device type, and the content of the app — to select an ad and to measure and prevent fraud. It does not build an advertising profile of you across apps.

Wirlo does not display Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, because we do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland

Before any ad is requested, the app shows a consent form provided by Google's User Messaging Platform. You may consent or refuse, and refusing is as easy as accepting. If you refuse, you will still be able to watch rewarded ads and receive rewards; the ads will be non-personalised.

You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy inside the app.

Google's own policies

Google acts as an independent controller of the data it collects through AdMob. Its handling of that data is described at Google's partner sites policy and Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Children

Wirlo is a general-audience game. It is not listed in the App Store Kids Category and it is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app carries an age rating on the App Store; please check it before allowing a child to install the game.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us at the address in section 9 and we will delete anything we hold.

5. Your rights and choices

Everyone

European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland

Under the GDPR and equivalent UK and Swiss law you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

Our legal bases are: your consent for advertising where consent is required; our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the game; and performance of a contract when you make a purchase.

California and other United States jurisdictions

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act. Residents of California and of other states with comparable laws may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, and may exercise these rights without being discriminated against. Because Wirlo holds no account data, the practical route is to contact us and to use the device-level controls described above.

Brazil

Under the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados you may request confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymisation, portability, deletion, and information about data sharing, and may withdraw consent.

Australia

Under the Privacy Act 1988 you may request access to and correction of personal information we hold, and may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

How to exercise your rights

Email us at the address in section 9. Because Wirlo does not hold accounts, we may be unable to identify data relating to you specifically; in that case we will tell you so and explain what we can do instead.

6. International transfers

Wirlo is available worldwide. The third-party services above operate globally and may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Those transfers rely on the safeguards each provider maintains, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We ourselves operate from Australia.

7. Data retention

We hold no personal data on our own systems, so there is nothing for us to retain. Data held on your device remains until you delete the app. Data held by Apple and Google is retained according to their own policies.

8. Security

Because Wirlo does not collect or store personal data on servers we control, there is no central store of user information to breach. Communication with third-party services uses encrypted connections. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Contact

We aim to respond within 30 days.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how Wirlo handles information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will also be announced in the app. Continuing to use Wirlo after a change means you accept the updated policy.
